I'm Angela Smith, founder of Lightyears. My journey has always been guided by a deep belief in the power we hold to shape our individual and collective futures. Drawing from more than a decade of experience as a strategist, consultant, and coach, I founded Lightyears to share the insights and tools I’ve gathered along the way. For me, Lightyears is more than a professional endeavor – it’s the culmination of my life’s work helping individuals and organizations flourish. I’m thrilled to finally share this platform and make a meaningful impact with others.
During my career, I’ve guided teams through complex organizational changes, developed strategies that have driven measurable growth, and coached leaders to unlock their full potential. Lightyears reflects my commitment to helping leaders align their vision with action to achieve transformative results and lasting success.
In addition to leading Lightyears, I serve as an Assistant Vice President and Senior Executive Advisor at Indiana University. My academic background includes degrees in economics, anthropology, and organizational consulting, complemented by certifications in change management and Strategic Doing™. I’m currently advancing my professional expertise by pursuing the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential through the International Coaching Federation.
